Need advice: Femara after 5 years?

I have been on Femara for five years and am being advised by my doctor to continue with the drug. However, the latest news about heart problems, etc., is making me question this advice. Also, I am tired of the side effects, esp the fatigue and mental fogginess. I would love to see how I feel without the drug, but I am of course scared of a recurrence. I was diagnosed Stage IIIc and had many lymph nodes involved (11/13).

Anyone out there in the same boat? Anyone out there with advice? Thanks!

Sherri,  I am curious why you are considering switching to Aromosin.  I ask because you and I, I believe, have pretty much taken the same hormonal route (Tamoxifen for a short period, then Arimidex, then Femara) and I remember you saying something several years ago about changing things up to keep the cancer guessing.  Is that why you are considering switching or are you having worse side effects with Femara?
