MRI and DCIS

Hello again,

Last year, Dec 2009, I was diagnosed with DCIS stage 0.  I had an MRI in Jan 2008.  I never had a copy of my MRI results.  I finally did get a copy of my results and to my surprise the person who read the MRI thought I had DCIS and recommended a biopsy.  No-one told me about the results or to get a biopsy done.  Could my stage have changed in the two years since the MRI?Could my outcome of bilateral mastectomies have been different?  My DCIS had multifoci in 2009, but the MRI in 2008 just showed one area of microcalcifications. I just wonder if it had been diagnosed sooner if I would have needed bilateral mastectomies.  something for me to think about.
