Cheryl, will be saying prayers for your DH's surgery. Also sending wishes for you not to cook so much, sounds like a really busy day unless you enjoy cooking. I only have to cook a few times each week and it is plenty for me!!

Cheryl prayers to hubby. Post and let us know how he is

Hello Everyone,
Up to my ears in work here, so haven't been around the board. The 16th is kind of up in the air for me right now. The final deadline for my thesis completion is December 17th, so I don't know whether I will be able to attend lunch on the 16th until probably the end of next week. I hope I can though. Had such a blast last time!! But, there will be more lunches, and I really need to finish with flying colors. It is goin well so far, and my professor was very impressed at my last meeting with her. I just cannot wait until the 17th so that I can start Christmas. Tree up and outdoor lights up, but shopping and baking need to wait!! Take care everyone, and I will keep you posted about lunch.

Hi All,
DH is doing fine, surgery went great. He now has a plate and pins in his collar bone. He is still in some pain and is uncomfortable but getting better each day. Finished putting up christmas decorations now I am hoping for a tree sometime soon.
Thank you for all of your prayers. The cooking goes on.

Great news Cheryl, I can't wait to see everyone at lunch. Susan, I am rooting for you. Love Betty
-
Hi all, watch the game or do the dishes and vacuuming and use the game as background noise - huge decision!!!! At least something positive will come of this afternoon, doing chores. Keep plugging away Susan, so we can see you on the 16th, you're almost finished.
-
Well, I got the chores done, 2 out of 3 isn't bad, how sad to use the Bills as background noise.

Hi All,
DH is doing good. His ribs are healing and he is able to move around a lot better. Sneezing and coughing are still tuff, but getting better. Jan, I was thinking of you yesterday as we were walking Eastern Hills Mall, then it occured to me that you worked on Saturdays. Did one lap and DH needed to go home. I am happy he is getting out of the house a little.
Susan, keeping my fingers crossed you will finish your thesis and be able to meet us for lunch on the 16th.
Betty heading to the casino tomorrow. Wish me good luck, you know I need it. (LOL)
Just wondering what the count is for lunch, anyone have any idea? Have a great week and will check in later.
Hugs, Cheryl

hi all,
Cheryl, glad to hear DH is doing well. Spent my Saturday at the urgent care. DH hurt ribs trying to lift DS tool box. Thing at least 300lbs. no joke, it's ridiculous. So he's taking it easy this week. only a few more days till DD is home and I'm on vacation, sooooo excited. So far, all have indicated they will be there. I can't stay long cause have nephew's BD party and Xmas cookie exchange that day too. Love, love, love this time of year, but wish I could take the parties, tasks, et all and spread over the whole year, soo stressful.
See you soon,
Love

Hi Cheryl, glad your DH is doing well and Maureen, hope yours is on the mend also.
Not much going on here, a little baking, working Thurs, sat. Not much shopping done, but I just don't know what to get my grown up kids......thinking a little gift each and then some cash. Probably won't get any complaints there.
Will see everyone, I hope, on Sunday. Susan, how is the thesis going?

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well, not too deluged with Christmas chores, just got back from having luncheon with a childhood friend, who still lives in Buffalo, we met at Milo's. I am becomming a lady who does lunch! The food and conversation was great until a waitress carrying semi-empty plates to the kitchen, caught her foot on the rug and the entire tray came flying at my face, my friend deflected it with a very nice volleyball serve, but we did get food in our meals. The poor girl was just mortified, the owner came right over and removed our plates and he repaced our meals. When we checked out our bill was already taken care of, I am so glad Sharon was on the volleyball team in high school, LOL, Susan hope the thesis is coming along well and will see everyone on Sunday. hugs, Karen

It's times like this we need to cherish those we love and remember what is most important, especially during this Christmas season. So saddened by the senseless loss at an elementary school. Love you all........Jan
-
What a tragic day, the senseless violence against mere babies. My heart aches for the familes of those who lost a child and the poor children who were there. And for the brave teachers and administrators who we entrust our children to. Extra kisses and a tight hug for my grandchildren today and my dear daughter. Hugs to all my dear WNY friends, I cherish you.
-
Good evening all, Sitting here in sheer shock. Same feelings as 911 only the terrorist is homegrown. There are no words for those parents, children, sisters, brothers, grandparents and friends for comfort. Murdering those babies, kindergarteners, and their caretakers is the most gruesome, evil act in our lifetime. Please pray for all those children who will never see another Christmas. Words cannot describe the pain I feel for those people. Pure evil. God Bless those beautiful babies.

On a different note, The restaurant called. Our time needs to be moved to 1PM. They do not open until then. Unfortunately I cannot attend that late so I will miss this lunch. I cherish our friendship, more so today. Have fun. Reservation is in my name.
Love,
Maureen
