Scoot, baby, take it easy and heal up! Got your supplements going?? You'll be back in the saddle after some time and apropriate physical therapy. Wish I could be there to start you on gentle Pilates when the time is right...

Gearing up for the weekend. Who's going to be at the B&G happy hour tonight? I'll be needing a martini...

A Tanqueray & Tonic, please! With a wedge of lime.

I've been puttering in the flowers and I'm all sweaty. Off to take a shower and then I'll have that drink. BRB

    Otter,

Allow me to share my  Freezer Margharita recipe (aka Big Girl Slushie):

    1 can Limeade

    2 1qt zip lock bags

    Tequila

    Triple Sec

Empty Limeade into large mixing bowl. Add three cans water, 1 can Tequila, 1/2 can Triple Sec. Mix. Pour into two zip lock bags. Place in freezer. The mixture will not freeze completely because of the alcohol. Spoon into glass of  your choosing whenever needed. Repeat as necessary.

I think I need an entire ziplock of those margaritas after today's excitment on the playground. A 5th grade student brought a bottle of ghost pepper hot sauce to school and smuggled it out to the playground. I didn't know this, of course. We have about 200 kids out there at any given time. One of the boys came screaming up to me, saying that he had gotten some grass in his eye and it really hurt. I could see that his eye was red and puffy and sent him to the nurse. Turns out, the kids were taking tastes of the hot pepper sauce, and this student had touched his eye with the same finger he had used to get some hot sauce. The nurse ended up having to call the fire department to come help her flush the kid's eye out! The boy who brought the hot sauce ended up in the principal's office.

Oh, and to top it off, the boy who got the hot sauce in his eye is legally blind(not from the hot sauce, he was blind before). Sigh. I don't get paid enough to save kids from themselves sometimes.

Having slushies ready to go sounds like a great idea and would work with other liquors. Rum and tequila don't like me and vice versa, so I'd make up something with gin or vodka. Or Baileys!

Riley, I think other "spirits" wo uld work. Let me know if  you decide to experiment.

Cherryl, that Margarita slushie recipe sounds great!   When I first met Mr. otter, he was known to keep a container of frozen daiquiri mix in his freezer just in case.  Now that we have our boat back (after a full year in the repair yard!), I think we need to stock the galley freezer with some of this stuff for hot summer days.

Mary... ow!  Hot sauce in the eye?  Ow!!!  Funny that the kids were experimenting with hot sauce.  Could have been worse, eh? [ETA:  Now I see that "ghost pepper" hot sauce isn't just any old hot sauce -- http://www.ghostpepper.com/  Ewwwww!]

Mary, It sounds like an eventful day! Don't you just love how the kids think of such stuff, and to do it at recess. I hope you didn't get into any trouble with administration.

No, I didn't get in any trouble, since I caught it almost immediately. Unless we start a policy of frisking students as they come outside, there's no way we could catch a bottle of hot sauce in the pocket.

Hi Girls - haven't been posting much as I still hate the layout. I come on for 5 minutes and leave - I so miss the feeling of home we had before.

Mother and baby seem to be doing well - we finally got a few new pics. I had the idea we should Skype with her so we can see him in real life - will mention that when I speak to her next.

DH off up north for 4 days for a golfing thing with the people we went on the tour with last year. They're driving - it's 7 1/2 hours!! I got his stuff ready yesterday so nothing for me to do now since I gave him a hot brekky. He's being picked up in 15 minutes and then Poppy and I can be as naughty as we like for 3 nights :)

Work has been busy - got all of the last minute changes done on Friday - we only have a few more days of this project left. Got to get through the testing part yet. The tester boy from Sth America is proving to be a pain in the butt - he over reacts to the tinyist thing. He wasted 2 days trying to figure out how to do something when he could have asked me and I could have directed him to someone to help him, which I eventually did and it took no time at all.

The weather is still glorious - did some chopping up the back yesterday and filled the green bin. Hope fully we're expecting some rain this week. I still might water this afternoon - it's been so dry.

Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

    Good Afternoon Everyone!

Quiet around here today ... is everyone at church?  I walked the dogs ... my fields are my sanctuary.

We got a lot done this weekend.  Buried the Direct TV cable, cleaned out the gutters, mowed and did lots of other chores.  Poor Tim, he only had one day off this week and did outside chores all day yesterday.  I think he's happy to get back to work today.

I'm busy working myself today ... yay for me ... love it when reports come in!

Susie .. Enjoy your quiet time with DH gone.

Scoot .. Hope you're feeling better today and the pain isn't too bad.

Mary .. OMG on the hot sauce.  It sounds really painful .. who can eat that stuff.

Hope y'all are enjoying the weekend.

Well I am finally feeling about 100%. The steroid shot got rid of the psoriasis from the Femara. I will be calling the Onc. tomorrow. I guess from what I was told the team is going to try to come up with a new plan for me. I sure hope they can figure something out.

It has been a quiet weekend here. I've been having fun watching the birds. My DH gave me some very pritty flowers for my birthday, so we bought a holder so we could hang them ouside. I'm hoping they will attract the butterflys. Don't really  know why the change in me, but I am surely enjoyingthe wild life!
