Back home waiting for the tracer to settle in. I go back at noon. I had this machine before when they injected the stuff into my nipple then they used the machine to watch it moving around. At least it is a big donut not a small one.

Well, I told the tech I would be worried sick all weekend. He said he could lose his job. I said, just give me a hint. As the gamma camera went over my ribs, he said 'Looking good'. When I was done I asked him if I was going to have a great weekend or a nice weekend. He said Great! WOO HOO!!

Holding onto great scan wishes for Sandy!!!

Morning girls!! We had lots of rain this morning - seems to be clearing now. The good news is the level of water in the pool has increased, the tank is full and the garden is happy. Even Poppy is happily exploring the garden. I've done the shopping and hung out the washing - totally boring morning so far.

    Hope Sandy is boring too!!

    Great news Barb!!

I'm waiting for some boring results too.  Didn't want to overload, but.........I had a little, what looked like a burst blood vessel under my chin. Well it was UGLY and every time George saw it, he would pinch it trying to "get the bug off me".

Yesterday went to the dermatologist to get it removed. It bled like the dickens and he said he had to send it in for testing. Say WHAT!

I love birds, but today I am furious. There's this bird who likes to sit in a tree outside our bedroom who starts making a racket as soon as the sun comes up. I wanted to sleep in!!! He's flown further away, but his call is so loud, I can still hear him - bloody pest.

We're going to a party this afternoon - don't know what to wear, don't know the people.....won't  be able to drink any alcohol as one of us has to drive - sounds like fun. Hopefully I can have an early afternoon nap before we go. Only bright point is that I won't have to cook dinner.

Blue-sounds like a hemangioma-bleed like the dickens, but I think they're always benign. Boringly benign.

Yes, that's what he called it.  I'm not gonna worry about it.

Ray just brought out his collection of santa claus.  Some are very interesting, but where the heck am I gonna put them?

Of course they have to test....test and test again. We wouldn't want any of those people to go hungry at Christmas time. :)

Hey Blue - the santas could dance with the angels :) put on some Doors music :)

Rummaged in the wardrobe and found a long (to the floor) very colourful Indian skirt - got it out and pulled on the waist and I thought the elastic had gone - bummer - but wait - it's a draw string (one size fits all). Found the black sleeveless cotton top that I had bought to go with it. Tried it all on and ran it past DH for approval - he'll say yes to anything but did complain recently that I never wear skirts/dresses. So, that's what I'm wearing to the party. It's casual, but more dressy than my pedal pushers that I wear all the time. They smelt a little musty, so I've hung them on the line in the sun to air.

DH did say that those type of clothes go really well with my afro - haven't had my shower yet to flatten it out.

This guy who is also going to the party calls and asks if we can pick him up on the way. I said why? He said "so I don't have to drive home" The cheek!!! He also said DH had said I wasn't going to drink - sounds like I'm really going to have fun. I'd better take some Pepsi Max with me as I don't like drinking anything else except water. I wonder if they will have diet coke or other? Better safe than sorry.

I can still hear that bloody bird in the distance.

    Blue, here's to BORING!!

Last night was our town's boat parade. It was gorgeous! There were maybe 70 boats! The picture is terrible, as I used a zoom on my phone but you get the idea.

Barb-We have Christmas ship parades here in Seattle, but our weather isn't quite the same. It's been upper 30's the last few nights. Brrrrr!

Working on getting tree and decorations up today.

As you all know, my mammogram was clear last week. I go to my oncologist tomorrow to get the official word. I wait until I see him to give the report to my family and friends(except for my husband and all of you of course). I feel like I've aged about 10 years since my cancer diagnosis 2 years ago. I don't know if it's the tamoxifen or peri-menopause. My skin has gotten dryer, I have a mustache that I have to shave every couple of days or so( and several stupid chin hairs), my whole body aches when I get out of bed in the morning until I get moving.....I could go on and on.  And I'm sure I'll get the "lose 10 pounds" speech again. I have lost about 5 pounds since June, so maybe I won't get the speech.

I hope everyone is doing fun holiday stuff this weekend. It's a little slow around here.

(((MARY))) - you're not alone. I've been a bit down lately as I am reminded of the fact I was undergoing cancer treatment for both of the last 2 years.

Thanks Susie-yes, I do remember that about you.

My diagnosis and surgery was right before Christmas 2 years ago, so when I decorate the tree, as I am doing today, I am reminded of 2 years ago and all the anxiety and sadness I had that year.

On the other hand-I am healthy this year and happy to be here!
