Blue, LMBO - must run and tell DH I might be a man...we might have to move to a state where gay marriage is legal.

Gee you lot, I don't come on for a couple of days and I have pages to read. Barbara A is fine and beginning a new job which she is thrilled about. Will let you know when I hear more.

To all friends in the USA Happy Thanksgiving.

So good to hear that Barbara has a new job! Thanks for letting us know, Alyson. I've missed her.

Now that we aren't discussing politics anymore, maybe Barbara will come back. Things got pretty hot there for awhile and I think there were hurt feelings on all sides.

Athena - thank you, lovely, lovely pictures.  SO good to see the Secretary of State with the President.  She & her staff worked SO HARD, SO LONG, SO HARD for what is happening now!  Just so GOOD to see her get to have this on her "watch."

Blue - that is the FUNNIEST thing I've read in so long - soon to be shared.

BarbaraA - doing a HAPPY DANCE you have a new job you like!!!!  YEAH, YEAH, YEAH...

Unlike Enjoyful, I am sharing my Good wishes with the women ( and lurkers) on this thread, just don't have whatever it takes to "engage" with what I have on IgnoreSmile Ah, choice, ain't it grandKissto be old enough to live it.

Happy Thanksgiving all!! I've been swamped with Thanksgiving prep and my MIL, so haven't been on  line much.

My MIL was breathing better yesterday,  but a little confused, possibly by the cortizone.  Not out of the woods, but she's doing better.

I'm thankful that we still have her with us today.  I'm thankful for my family, for my two wacky cats, for my wonderful friends here.

Everyone enjoy the day. I admit to very mixed feelings about eating meat - but I love all the sidedishes and the desserts.  Yams and cranberries.  Pumpkin pie.  And good company around the table.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  Turkey in the oven here ... house smells good already.  The dogs and the cat will be hanging out near the kitchen all day hoping for their share too.  Hope everybody has an enjoyable day no matter how you choose to celebrate.

DD #2 wanted our "traditional" tofurky instead of lasagna. Didn't have the energy to do both,  so the veggies are chopped and the tofurky is basting. Cooks for about 2 hours, then carve and eat:

That's great news about Barbara's new job. I also miss otter and wonder if she plans to swim by some time.

I saw Otter in another thread about a week ago, but it has been awhile since she's posted here.  I too miss her posts, hope she's well and hope to "see" her here soon.

Sending my thanksgiving greetings to all of you with many thanks for the wonderful friends I have found here! Traditional turkey with stuffing/dressing here along with mashed potatoes & gravy, waldorf salad, and that darned green bean casserole that everyone loves. Pumpkin pie is a must .... In fact DS #1 always requests it for his October birthday. Enjoying a quiet moment or two with everything under control in the kitchen and none of the guests have arrived! Hope everyone has a glorious day!!

Thanks, Sun.  It's good knowing Otter's been online.  Hopefully she'll step in here soon.

Hi, Barbara!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  A bad job sure can drag you down.  It's nice to know you've got a better situation now.

Man, I will get a distended stomach if I eat this much again! Lots of goodies on the plains and plenty to share with my pride. 'Twas a good day to be a carnivore.

Damned shame that Project Runway probably won't be showing due to the holidays. Hope you all ate wonderfully. We were in the company of four litties who were very respectful (overall).

    Thanks for the coffee!

So ... is everybody (anybody) out risking life and limb shopping today?  I did not inherit the female 'shopping' gene so will be staying as far as possible away from any stores this weekend.
