Really nervous about appointment on Monday

I was on anti-biotics for like a week prier to the tests. My symptoms did go away some. I did still have IBC. They did a core needle biopsy & a skin biopsy. My nipple was 1/2 way in between. Not really completely inverted & not really flat. If you can get them to do the biopsy, good for you. I know I needed it for my piece of mind. Good Luck. Leisa

Thanks Leisa. I am really scared and nervous. How long did it take for your biopsy results? Hope you are doing well now.

Where I go they do their own testing. They don't have to send it out so it took @ a week. Some places have to send it out and I have heard that it can take up to 2 - 3 weeks. So you might ask if they do it in house or have to send it out. I joined a new drug trial right before Christmas. It's to prolong the time inbetween a recurrance. So far it's going according to plan. So I guess i would say I'm doing ok right now. Good luck to you. Leisa

I was on antibiotic for 10 days, no improvement. My breast specialist does her own biopsies. the skin one was negative. Had an mri & second biopsy positive. Had the results in just a couple of days. The doctor called me herself. That was almost 3 years ago.
Since you have seen some improvement I'm hope you are B-9. NJ

Antibiotics did nothing for me. I had my core biopsy results back in less than 24 hours and started chemo within 5 days......it only took that long because I was diagnosed on a Friday. When your BS calls you from Disney World it is never a good sign.
Best of luck.

Update. I just got back from BS. He wanted me to have mammo and ultrasound today but we was 2 1/2 hour away and they wanted me to wait for next available which would have been 4 hours. I called and scheduled in my home town. He is thinking I have an abcess and wants to do surgery next week. If that doesn't work then mastectomy. He said he wants to see what the mammo and ultrasound show first. Still not certain it is just infection but sounds good so far.
