Pins and needles in middle of back

Is this a symtom of mets?  it has been bothering me at one side of my back on and off for a week now.  Any knowledge out there?

    Nerve impingement by a slipped disc can manifest this way. Sounds like you need scans to check what's going on. It doesn't take trauma to move a disc but did you have any trauma recently?

    It really does'nt sound like mets to me at all, have you asked for a scan???

    Hi Ladies,  no trauma, i have always had pain after my mastectomy, but this is something new, the pins and needles just left of my spine in centre of back.....has been on and off for about 10 days now, just wondered if need to be concerned....have check up with oncologist in 10 days so will mention it then.

    Hello, I dont have mets, but I noticed your pins and needles post.  I am responding as I had that sensation and it ended up being shingles on my back along the nerve path.. Do you have any blistering patches around where you have the pins and needles.  Thats the exact same way I described it to my doctor. He saw the blisters and prescribed valtrex.  Good luck to you.  Its always good to go to the doctor when something new is bothering you.  Better to check it out than worry!!
