I had 15 nodes removed from my right axilla in 2007 along with the full gamut of treatment.  I had 2 years cancer free, then was diagnosed with cancer in my left axilla (19+ nodes - 20 removed) with a completely different pathology but no tumor, so it's never been clear whether it's a recurrence or new primary.  It is very aggressive again, however.  During treatment I developed skin mets in my left axilla and had extensive radiation.

I've been on Xeloda and Tykerb for 9 months, chemo for about 14 months total.  Tumor markers dropping.

The past 2 months the lymphedema in my left arm has gotten worse, and despite treatment by my PT, I have stabbing constant pain in my axilla and arm bones in BOTH arms.  However I had a scan in November that came out NED.  My Christmas gift from cancer was finding a swollen node in my neck.

I am really worried something is spreading - has anyone ever experienced anything like this?  The pain really stinks.  It's not like the usual LE ache - and it's on both sides :-(
