I was wondering if any of you IBC ladies are from Indidna and could give me adivse on where to go to see if I have IBC? I do not want to mess around with my doctor. There is a breast care center in Indianapolis I thought about going to. I have enlarged R breast Nipple is so hard about the size of a golf ball. Had redness but it seems better Went to doc on Wed put on Keflec for infection. Pain is worse sharp shooting pain and very painful to the touch. My nipple was flattend but does seem to be perky now almost to perky. Been putting heating pad on at night helps somewhat with pain. The only pitting skin I noticed was around my scar from having central ducts removed several years ago due to constant greenish disharge showed infection then no cancer but this is something totally different. Scared to death. 42 year old mother of 3

Thanks so much I will check them out. I live about 1/2 hour south of Bloomington. The doctor tried to give me pain meds Wed along with the antibiotics but I thought I could tough it out. I had no idea the pain would get worse instead of better. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

Dr. Sledge in Indy. I have a friend who has seen himl I saw him speak a couple of months ago at a BC conference. It sounds like he is up on the latest and well-respected in his area. I'm a Lafayette resident.

Tonyap,
I went to a bc convention in Indianapolis IND this past October. I know they have a great bc center there. I live on the west coast. You may also be able to make Chicago bc centers such as Northwestern or or the bc center in Zion IL. Sorry I don't have more info.

I have made an appointment for Monday at Community Breast Center in Indy. I am kind of scared. The lady that took my call said they had an appointment for Wed of this week but I told her I could not make it until next week due to work requirements. She said honey you really need to be seen as soon as possible. That scared me but I have no choice. I don't think a few days is going to make that much of a difference. I am glad I am going there. They made me an appointment right away with the oncology surgeon which makes me feel better knowing I will see a doctor that day instead of having tests then rescheduling an appointment. The antibiotics do seem to be helping with the swelling some but the pain is worse and the redness has gotten worse. I take spells of heat and not heat sometimes it actually feels as if I am on fire. The night time is the worse as far as pain. My breast throbs and has sharp shooting pains.
