1st lumpectomy

I have my lumpectomy later today - cannot sleep so I have scoured the internet for information yet again - decided to join this discussion board for advice/and to give me a sense that this will be okay.

 I am typically a "strong" woman - but this is really getting to me.  Very nervous - even more nervous they will not get it all - but have decided to get radiation regardless.  I have other tumors that are benign - and I don't want to keep going through this.  Very nervous and anxious right now.

 I understand. Everyone keeps telling I am a "strong" woman and can get through all this but some times I do not feel like I can. No matter what happens it will be okay. Some one told me that when I first joined and I laughed at them. But I have found out it is true. With the support of the ladies here I found out It might not be what you want to face but you can. it's okay to be nervous, scared, anxious all at once because that is how you are suppose to feel.  I will send you lots of good vibes and gentle HUGS for today.  Good Luck today and please keep us posted.
