Pleural effusion: stage 4 IBC

I have stage 4 IBC with skin mets and pleural effusion to my left lung. Anyone have any words of wisdom as to what long term solution is better : Pleurodesis with chest tube & talc or the pleurex catheter? I'd like to hear from anyone who has had it or knows someone that has. I'm interested to know about the success or failure, pain, recovery time, complications or lack of, hospitalization time etc. I need to decide between the 2 and would like some input soon. Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know about pleural effusion. I do have ibc with bone mets. Hope someone chimes in soon. Wishing you the best with your treatments. You may want to check ibcsupport.org.
