Hi ladies,

Saw recently some new ibc girls here and thought you might like to hear from a survivor of 10 years with IBC.  It's not me yet. I'm 1 1/2 years out, but found this on the ibcsupport.org site from Gayla.  She says:

I am writing today to bring you hope. It was TEN YEARS AGO this week
that I was diagnosed with ibc. After my initial treatment, (3 mo chemo,
bilateral mastectomy, 3 more months chemo) I had my first bone scan and they
found that I had had bone mets, probably from presentation. The day of my
first and only mammogram, my husband drove me over an hour in a white out
blizzard to get diagnosed. I was one of the fortunate ones whose cancer
shouted from the scan that it was there. If you are interested, you can read
my story at:

An IBC diagnosis certainly changes our lives. I thank God often that
I am still here. I have been ned for 9 years now. If you are new to this
battle, keep fighting. You have so much to live for. You chances are
better now than mine were 10 years ago.

God Bless,

Gayla Little
