Two months out from radiation, I just had (four days ago) a prophylactic mastectomy and bilateral removal of fallopian tubes and ovaries. If anyone else out there has walked this path, can you describe your recovery timeline? I still feel pretty wiped. Thanks.

Hi, I've not had all that done in a short time, but can assure you that feelling "pretty wiped out" is absolutely NORMAL.  General instructions for post op is 6 weeks with no heavy (over 5 to 10 lbs) lifting and get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids.

You will begin to feel better very soon.  I assume you had the abdominal surgery thru laproscopy, so that recovery is pretty swift.  The mast. may take you a bit longer, esp. if you had reconstructin at the same time.

Good luck and keep comming back!
