Sorry in advance for the "too many posts"...  I posted a question tonight and then realized that I never even introduced myself here on the IBC forum --  I had newbie post limits when I was diagnosed and so I wasn't allowed to post on here.

I was diagnosed with IBC this past Monday, just turned 35. Still very much in shock, and will soon be undergoing CT scan and bone scan and first meeting with my medical oncologist and then I guess jumping into treatment. I feel very lucky to have found bc.org so early in the process, such a great community.

So saying a warm hello to all of you. ;-)

    Tundra,

As long as you are being treated for ibc, I would not be too concerned about the rash.  Do mention it to your oncologist.  I was diagnosed 6/09 and remember I was not able to get rid of the rash for over a year.  Sometimes it was worse and sometimes better.  Sometimes I'm still red in the breast.  I'll be doing a mastectomy in Jan and have already completed chemo last Feb.

    Hi Terri,

Thanks for the reply. I was worried it was progressing quickly and suddenly. But it seems it was just a passing phase. Might have been brought on emotinally. Thanks a lot for the reply. Good to know re: the year timeline thing. Timelines help so much with all this bc stuff. Best of luck to you with your mas in Jan. Sending you goodness.

Hi Tundra.  Nice to meet you and sorry you had to join.  I am a pretty active poster on ibcsupport.org although have not been around much in the last week or so.  I post and read mostly on the stage IV forum here at bc.org and not so much in the IBC forum here because it is usually not very busy.

Anyway, my prayers are with you as you start on this journey.  The first few weeks were the most diffuclt for me (diagnosed 8/09) so try and hang in there.

    Hugs,

    Lori

    Hi Lori,

Thanks a lot for the post. Nice to meet you too. :-)

Yes, the IBC forum is kind of quiet eh? I'll branch out to the others a bit.

    Thanks for the kind words

    :-)
