"Mass is avascular"

I just received several of my early reports (I was too out of it early on to even ask for copies . . . lol).  I noticed in my ultrasound report that it says the mass is avascular.  I tried to research this briefly but did not find anything, other than the definition of avascular which is having few or no blood vessels.  This seems like a good thing to me, at least in terms of vascular spead . . .but I am just making and educated (and hopeful) guess here.

Does anyone have any understanding of what this means?  I will ask my onco at the next appointment, but thought I would check here in the meantime.

I would assume you are right in your guess.  Atypical means "not" typical, so Avascular must mean "not" vascular.
