Clinical Trials | Who pays?

If you decide to go on a clinical trail who pays for it? Insurance won't pay for experimental treatments. Would I pay for all the costs (doctor visit, tests, medication(s) etc.)?

Usually it's the organisation that conducts the trial that pays.

I'm in a trial, and the research company pays for everything - any scans, drs visits, blood work, etc.  It only costs me the money in gas to get there
