How long after exchange will they start rads?

Hello,

I am scheduled for my exhange on Feb 28 (super excited about it...) My question is how long after that can you start radiation? Not the initial consult or the simulation but the actual treatment itself. I'm supposed to have 5 weeks of RT according to my oncologist. I know that you may say ask my rad onc but I have to decide because my disability will be ending right about the middle of radiation tx and I would have to go back to work. Currently I am being seen in NJ and work in NY. Im trying to decide if I should have RT in NJ and beg my employer to hold my job for another 2 or 3 weeks pretty please and not give it away. If I decide to get RT in NY it will be a pain but I probably will be able to work and get it for the remaining 2 weeks while working over there.
