Mother Very Sick

I have a question hope someone can help. I took my mother for a PET scan yesterday and she woke up very sick and cant move her arms and her legs are very sore. I just found out that they did the IV in her left arm even though she told them that they are not suppose to due to her left breast was removed. She also told them that she didnt have any lymph nodes removed (which she did). I asked the nurse if I could go with her during the scan but they told me no. I wish they would have because I would not have let this happen. Do you think she feels this way due to the put the IV in her left arm. I called the dr and she is going in today at 2:45. I just wanted to know if this is what is causing her pain. She has also had in the last 3 weeks, bone scan, chest scan and a sonogram of her stomach. Maybe too much radiation?. Thank you for any advise

She might be having a reaction to the contrast they use - best to get her seen by a doctor. Hope she's OK.

    Suepen,

She was seen by her dr yesterday and he also said the same thing. Could be too much radiation due to she has had 3 scans in the last 2 weeks. So we wait and watch for now. We did get some bad news however they did find a shadow on her lung about 1mm. We now have to wait for the results from the pet scan and compare it to the ct scan. Please pray that this will all turn out ok. Thank you for responding to me and Hope you have a nice day
