Hi!  I have been posting over on the IBC board but thought I would jump over here.  A little  history, my right breast has been slightly red for years--looks like tiny red blood vessels--saw the doc and she didn't think it was anything, just a vascular or skin thing.  Seems like I haven't been to do anything for the last year but worry about it and have of course been to scared to go back to the doc.  I get  very anxious about things and tend to obsess about things.  Anyway long story short, went to the doc last week--saw the nurse prac- and she agreed it was probably a vascular thing because its not really swollen, it does seem a little redder but in reality  I have been poking and proding it alot more over the last few weeks,  It also isn't hot-it is actually cool, almost cold to the touch and I have one area on the areola that I think is peau d orange but she said if it was peau d orange, it would have spread to my skin and probably cover my whole breast after all this time.  Having a diagnostic mammo on Tuesday and I am a nervious wreck--which brings me to my question--can IDC cause the symptoms I desribed...I don't have any lumps that can be found by touch........

I had no symptoms except bloody discharge and a hard area.

I had IDC and no symptoms at all.  I only had a tumor to pop up right near the top of my cleavege. The toughest part is the waiting, but you will get through this.
