I'm a 1-1/2 yr survivor (I think). My 1 daughter was 8 when I was diagnosed and just turned 10. She came out the shower last night hysterical crying saying "I have breast cancer and I'm gonna die!" She truly believed this and we had a very rough night. She reminded me several times this morning to call the doctor. I did find some reassurance online about normal breast development in pre-pubescent girls that it is normal to have a tender bump under their nipple and often on one side only, but she still wants a checkup, which I will take her to. I just want to suggest to this website that maybe they offer a kid-friendly section dedicated to normal breast development, especially for girls whose moms had bc. Some 'What's Normal' and some 'When to Call a Doctor'. Maybe some pics.
