    I'm replying cuz I don't see one.

Yes.  I do think that there are people who have succesfully radiated their expanders.  After the rads heals up, then replace the expanders with permanent implants.

I just started rads today, and I have expanders.  I plan to do my exchange surgery about 4 months after rads.  Oh yea, I also had Chemo, then Bilat-mast.  I have even seen a few of the "afters" of ladies in my support group.  They look good!

    Thanks for replies girls,

The thing is that my oncologist believs that doing rads on expanders or anything is harder sometimes. So from the treatment side of  view is this ok? or is this better not to have anything in there and do it after radiation??? I mean don't the expanders or implants block the way ??

I am little bit confused sorry

    It's a smarty answer (sorry).

IF the implants prove to be an issue, they can always deflate them.  There have been alot of people who have had rads + expanders (no biggie).

There are a few people (who have tumors close to the chest wall) who have had to make adjustments when it came time for rads.

Generally, I think it's probably okay.

The trauma of breast removal is pretty steep...less so with immediate reconstruction.  For me, that is a serious consideration.

If you want clarity, consult with your radiation oncologist.  <-- Final authority.
