Hi All, i am thank you for the good board - it gaves a lot of information and a hope from the positive cases of woman. thank you very much!!!

My wife had surgery around 2 weeks ago and the pathological results aren't so good ,maybe.

The tumor in the breast of my wife is much smaller now - 2 sites up to 2mm

but they found 15 nodes of 20 positive with residual foci of cancer

Now it makes me very sad

my hopes were that it will be less positive nodes.....

Maybe you can share how do you see these results?   I am very asking your support because i am concerned for the faith of my wife ....thank you again and i wish you all the best and good health as much as possible....

best regards.....

NinB sorry you wife had to join the club. All I can say is don't fear the unknown. There have been many women I have seen here with many nodes… and they are still here & NED. There are a couple of positive ways to look at this. First of all sounds like the nodes are catching the cancer before the can spread to other parts of the body. That's what nodes are supposed to do. Don't assume that the cancer has spread. Second, now that they know it's in her nodes they will treat her know this.

There have been many on this list with no node involvement but it has spread and many with node involvement that hasn't spread. I can only guess that maybe the more aggressive treatment might have helped those with more nodes and that's why they are still here.

Finally you wife gets the benefit of treatment with Herceptin. This is the miracle drug for us HER2+ gals. Also you wife is hormone positive. She also gets the benefit of hormone suppression drugs. These are all really good things.

Wishing you and your wife the best.
