PET scan results were GOOD!

Last week I had a PET scan done and I've been so worried to get the results back.  I had surgery on Nov 1st with lymph node removal on the left side.  17/35 were positive for cancer.  BUT after a week of worry my PET scan was clean!!!!  No signs of cancer elsewhere though they do want to do a CT of my liver but said it's nothing to worry about, just a double-check.  I wanted to share this since I know how scarry it is to have positive lymph nodes.  I know I'm in for PET scans for the rest of my life to check for recurrance but still think it's amazing that this one is clean.  Yay!

I remember how scared I was when I had all the different tests, so far that was the worst part of this BC journey!

That is fantastic news. I remember the sleepless nights waiting for results. I don't think we will ever totally get away from that. I also had to have a CT scan of the liver for something "suspicous." My onc read the report and told me right away "that happens a lot and not to worry about it," and he was correct. If you need anything, this is the place to come ask. Hugs,
