OK, just your little "nudge" today...

honey, this is a wild ride....if you were "OK" with it all, it would NOT be normal.

You don't need the counselor, tho it could help.   You need a new PS consultation and a new BS consultation.  There may be many reasons for your pain that are medical.

I think also that a good referral to a physical therapist is in order from your GP.  Get one that is experience in breast cancer patients recon and their issues.

My PS said he had never heard of the "phantom pain syndrome" but my BS had and I went to a wonderful PT who gave me the best stretches.  I am thinking that alot of your pain may be muscle spasms too.  Have you tried a lo dose clonazepam?  It will help with the anxiety, panic, hot flashes and the muscles spasming.

As for the ooph...well, it does, for a few months, cause all of the above as well.  This will pass I promise.

In the meantime, help yourself to a good phone call to your BS, PS, and/or GP and get a good referral to a good PT.  Get a large size pilates ball, and stretch over it.  Ask what stretches are appropriate for your own recon situation.

Good luck!!!  I had pretty much your diagnosis, have not for one instant regretted my ooph, but it does indeed cause all of these symptoms for about 2/3 months.  They will pass.  Exercise helps.

PM me if I can help you more and good luck, dear.
