I was ready to quit chemo after the first session.  I was dizzy, I thought I was losing my mind, I lost 7 pounds.  I made an appointment with a psychiatrist because I was scared I was ruining my brain.  On Monday after the first chemo sessions which was the Tuesday before I called the doctor and she prescirbed  Meclizine.  I took one pill and the fog cleared and I felt like a million bucks.  I have always been susceptible to dizziness....hate rides at amusement parks or any spinning motion.  

Second Chemo was yesterday.  I drank tons of water and flavored vitamin water.  I have the good fortune of living a couple blocks away from a major medical center in Chicago.  A acupuncturist stop in the room and said that Mrs Prentice, a very generous donor to the hospital, treats every women during chemo to a massage or acupuncture.  I told her I was worried about dizziness and she put some needles in me for 20 minutes.  I feel great.  I went to my spinning class today, I ate dinner last night and the only meds I've taken is the Emend.  I'll keep you posted but I'm a believer.  When I went for my after shot today a couple other women were also sing acupuncture's praises.  Anyone else have luck with acupuncture?
