    Hi, Everyone!

I apologize for being new and reviving old threads. I can't even begin to tell you how much this topic has interested me since my diagnosis. I, like so many, feel very certain that my breast cancer came up very quickly. In the 6-8 weeks leading up to my discovery of the lump, I was having unusual symptoms that I didn't understand. After my diagnosis, those symptoms coupled with the timeline made me feel like something was going on that my body was trying to warn me about. I had implants placed 4 years before my lump appeared and did my routine displacement exercises. I found my lump by complete accident and know without a doubt that it was not there (close to the skin) just a few weeks before. It terrifies me to think about how quickly it can grow. I know that even though it is extremely fast growing, that it doesn't appear overnight. However, I have to say that it almost feels like one week there's nothing there and then the next, there is a prominent lump that is palpable and visible when looking in the mirror. Triple Negative is such a newly identified sub-type that is very heterogenous in nature, that we just don't fully grasp how different some people's experience with TN is from others. We desperately need researchers to identify all of the sub-types and sub-sub-types of TN so that we can better understand what it is that has invaded us. I have learned one very valuable lesson in all of this: I will ALWAYS listen to my body and pay attention to the little inner whisper that is repeatedly telling me when something just doesn't feel right.

    Betty
