elevated lung pressure?

I've been having shortness of breath and heart palpitations lately, and was sent to the cardiologist to get things checked out.  They ended up doing an echocardiogram, and found that my lung pressure is elevated.  So he's sending me for some additional tests - PFT, x-ray, and ct scan w/contrast.  My question is - could this be caused by lung mets?  I don't want to borrow trouble, but I do want to know what I may be up against.

Any info or experience?
