Stage 2A Skipping Chemo and Radiation - Survival chances??

My grandma, who is 89 years old, just got diagnosed this week and is having surgery on Saturday. Given her advanced age, it's just not possible to have her undergo chemo and radiation. She is otherwise in great physical health and could probably live into her 100s no problem.

She is Stage 2A, clear lymph nodes and the surgeons are suggesting lumpectomy because of her age (mastectomy might be too much for her).

What sort of survival rate chances are there if she skips all those treatments? Anybody gone through a similar situation, either skipping chemo or radiation at Stage 2A or were advanced age patients? Thanks!

I know of a couple of women in their late 80's (including my own grandmother) who had lumpectomies with no further treatment and went on to live for many years, ultimately dying of simply old age...one in her late 90's, the other past 100.  As non-doctors, it's hard for any of us to speculate but it's generally thought that these things tend to grow very slowly in older people and personally speaking we could not see subjecting an otherwise healthy person at that age to other treatments that could affect their quality of life at that point in time.
