Mets to lungs?
I have developed lung nodules while I was on Taxol and Herceptin. My doctors have a wait and see approach, doing ct scans every 3 months. The wait and uncertainty is killing me. Did anyone have similar experiences and what was the outcome?

yes, they found a lung nodule on me a few years ago. my onc wanted to wait 6 months and rescan. the nodule was nothing. the thing about cancer is that it will change; grow...etc. also, they watch blood work and tumor markers. hope it is nothing*

I am going through the same thing now so I know how you feel. I finished a year of Herceptin in September and had a PET scan in October. The scan showed some lung nodules about 4mm and 5mm. I am supposed to have a CT scan the beginning of December. The anxiety is unreal and I am fearing the worst. However many people do have nodules that turn out to be benign. Hope that will be the case for both of us!

Many gals have just had them "disappear." I hope that is the case for each of you.

Hope it is just inflamed by chemo and will disappear after chemo is done. Keep us posted. Best wishes!

Hi everyone... I am waiting for a biopsy on tuesday... last Monday I went into the Dr. for a cough.. they saw a mass on m x-ray.. They called me back on Wednesday to have a CT scan.. then yesterday i met with a pulmonary specialest.. He will be doing the biopsy ... I am hopeing that like many of you it turns out to be nothing..

Redgrldj,
Keep us posted about your biopsy results. I hope it's benign.

hi
when i was diagnosed i was given a full body scan and they found 2 lung nodules one in each lung
i was told they were to small to biopsy so i would go through my chemo and be scanned again after 3 rounds to see what had happened to the nodules
the wait was crippling and i just tried to keep positive
had my 3 chemo then got the scan
results was the nodules hadn't shrunk and they said if it was cancer these would have shrunk or changed in some shape or form
so please stay positive i know its hard not to fear the worst but things can just be nothing

Ah, redgrldg - I am so very sorry to hear that, and then I looked at your diagnose stats. I am over on the TNBCfoundation.org site as well, and we have just had a "gush" of gals recurring. This is so very frightening, as you well know. I just want to wish you all the very best. I too am shaking in my boots, literally, as we are all in that "time zone" that triple negative so kindly bestowed upon us. God bless, and I wish you an uneventful treatment journey with excellent results.

Redgrldgj, I am really sorry to hear that. This is terrible!
I am getting my ct scan tomorrow instead of next month because I can't breathe.

I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you get into a great clinical trial.
