PET scan after radiation

I was wondering what the typical waiting period to get a PET scan after radiation. I had a post-chemo scan and Onc asked if I wanted to schedule a post-rads scan but warned me that increased "glowing" may be due to rads.
I finished rads in July....should I wait longer to get the most accurate result?

Radaition Oncologist's office just called me back and said they recommend three months.
