will raw food, meditation again me time?
I like to believe that raw food, meditation and supplements will gain time. Really need to hear optimistic stories, about women that heard about there stage 4 long time ago, and still ok. Also I would like to read some stories about one metastasis at L4 and the flow of the illness after that.

I have one friend who had the same thing and she is alive several years out but she did radiation and chemotherapy. I don't know anyone who has survived stage IV breast cancer for any length of time without medical treatment, but I do know people who have lived quite a while -- including one woman who has been stage IV for over 20 years -- with medical treatment. Raw food, mediation and supplements will not prolong your life. But with a solitary bone met you can do very, very well with treatment -- you have the BEST stage IV diagnosis possible. But its still stage IV and if you want those years, you need to treat it.

Try phoning this clinic in Germany and ask to speak to Dr. Ursula Jacob.

So much depends on your outlook. Are you looking for optimistic stories or facts? If you visit the stage IV forums, there are lots of ladies there living with stage IV, some for quite a long time. You'll see lots of optimistic stories backed up by facts.
Please, please do your research before considering any kind of unproven and potentially dangerous treatment like Dr. Ursula Jacob's clinic mentioned above. Look for facts and research, not just testimonials and conspiracy theories.
Your life very well may depend on your treatment. IMHO, now is not the time to waste on treatments that have never been shown to be beneficial. Conventional medicine has options that have been proven scientifically to have benefits, and your treatment team can discuss with you the risks versus benefits of various options and help guide you to appropriate treatment for your specific circumstances. A good doctor or team will include some complementary options that have been *proven* to help - possibly some supplements, food recommendations, etc. Perhaps diet and meditation will help to clear your mind and help with pain control, but they won't gain you time.
I know some people will disagree, but annieappleseedproject.org is full of MISinformation, bad advice, and useless and/or dangerous medical information. Please double check - triple check- quadruple check ANY treatment you consider, whether mainstream or complementary. Get the facts. Know the risks and the benefits, and understand what you're getting into so you can make the best decisions for YOU.
Best of luck to you!

I would also urge you to do a lot of research before you make this decision. There are lots of wonderful inspirational stage IV women on this board but from what I have read, they all seem to be taking conventional treatment supplemented with other things. Antecdotal, I can tell you that at one period of time, I knew 3 women diagnoised with breast cancer. The one who declined rads and chemo --considering them to be poison---ended up with brain mets and died after a year. Of the other two, one died in her last 70s of something else and the other is still playing with her grandchildren. None of this women started with stage IV.
If by radiotherapy you mean rads, I was also scared to death of them but honestly it wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined.
I do find that my meditation practice really helps me with dealing with the stress in my life, be it from stupidbreastcancer and now the follow-up, or my boss or whatever.
Good luck.
