Red Cancer Breast During Treatment

When I was first diagnosed with IDC back in July the breast was red and swollen.  The redness went away when I laid down and there was never any itching or warmth.  The redness and swollen symptom went away as soon as I started weekly Taxol & Herceptin.  The large tumor has also shrunk significantly. Praise Jesus!  Now, I'm finding that the day after my treatments, the breast becomes bright red around the areola and in splotchy areas on the breast itself.  It's not warm, doesn't itch, and fades only a bit when I lay down.  It slowly fades until, by my next treatment, there's no redness around the areola and the blotchiness fades to pink.  The oncologist at University of Penn says it's a reaction to the Herceptin, even though it didn't start until week 8 and the other breast isn't affected.  I saw other posters who were told it's a reaction to the steroid.  I'm just curious if anyone else ever had this symptom.

Prayers for all!
