Menstruation post chemo,

Hello girls,

I was diagnosed in March 2010, at the age of 35 with a triple + ,2 nodes, stage 2A ,BRCA 1 and 2 negative .

Did neoadjuvant chemo A/C  and taxol on herceptin @ the moment. Finished my chemo on Sept 1^st.  Follow up MRI showed no tumor or nodes. So the chemo worked. Hope I will achieve the gold pathologically not only sonographcly.

During chemo I experienced a lot of stiffness/ pain ++ in my joints. I was told that most likely I will remain menopausal.  Well big surprise! I just got my period 5 weeks after I finished chemo. I also noticed that all my stiffness and pain in my joints are gone. I am feeling very energetic.

 Surgery is coming up on Oct 25 with a bilateral mastectomy. I will be on Tamoxifen after radiation.

I am wondering if any of you had the same experience having the periods return so fast post chemo. My concern is of course how much the estrogen is now having a negative impact. I am worried that the cancer will start growing now that my periods returned. I am seeing my oncologist in Dec after my surgery. I can not wait that long. I thought I would post here to find answers.
