oncotype--chemo or no chemo

barbofel, my stats are very similar to yours, except that I have ILC--oncotype of 22, and I am the same age. My oncologist said the choice to do chemo was up to me. He said a lot depends upon personality. Some people, he said, wouldn't feel comfortable unless they did everything possible to prevent a recurrence. Other people are more comfortable with a little uncertainty and don't want to face the side effects of chemo for just a small drop in recurrence rate. I personally decided not to have chemo. I am doing radiation now and will have Tamoxifen or Arimidex (or one followed by the other) after that. So it really comes down to what feels right for you.
