Doctor/Researcher who uses meds in new ways?

Hello to all,

I am writing on behalf of a dear friend who has Stage IV breast cancer who is looking for an MD who may use medicines in new combinations or for new purposes.  She is at a point where she wants to know all of her options.  Any help is really appreciated.

The Life Extension website (lef.org) has some very interesting approaches to dealing with cancer listed under an article entitled: Cancer Treatment:The Critical Alliance which gets into what is actually happening on a cellular level and other topics such as chemo sensitivity testing ,etc. She could access this info at this website or Google the name of the article:

In Suzanne Somers book Knockout, she also lists 4 doctors who seem to think outside of the box:Dr. Burzynski, Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Forsythe and Dr. Tauchi. 

I really don't know much about any of them, but if your friend wants to research all her options, she may want to do check them out too.
