I know what you mean about things shifting after treatment.  Here's my background: I was diagnosed with stage III, inflammatory breast cancer this April and have had chemo and BMX surgery and I start radiation this week.  The chemo killed the cancer and so the surgery and radiation are just insurance policies against a recurrence.  Anyway, since this type of cancer has such a poor prognosis, I have really changed my thinking.  I want to accomplish some of the things on my "to do" list.  (I refuse to call it a bucket list as I'm not going anywhere any time soon.)  My values and what is important have changed too.  I'm not really worried about what other people think anymore.  I just want to relax and have fun.  It's hard when you're in different spaces.  I'm thinking about suggesting that we go to therapy.
