Fluid in Breast Cause for Concern?

My 34 yr DD is experiencing this.  She has been unsuccessfully trying to become pregnant for 2 yrs and seeing a fertility specialist.  She began noticing breast leakage in both breasts and her doc checked her out with bloodwork and everything else and then sent her in for a diagnostic mammo 2 weeks ago.  Came back "ok", dense breasts but nothing showed up on the US, but the breast center told her to have her doc review the results and see they strongly recommended she see a breast surgeon to check out the fluid in her breast.  She's being stubborn and doesn't want to make an appt with anyone right now.  I am so annoyed at her lacks attittude about this. I told her she should be watching this because it's not normal and she should be preventing possible Breast Cancer.  Am I being overly concerned?  I know there are many young women in their 30's on this board with this horrible disease, and I worry about her.

I know very little about cancer as I do not have cancer. But I had a scare recently and several doctors told me that fluid in the breasts can be a sign of IBC (inflammatory breast cancer). IBC has few or no symptoms until it becomes advanced, but fluid in the breast/s, leakage from the nipples, or pains like the let-down reflex of breast feeding can be a warning sign of IBC. This is because IBC does not usually form a lump (so it doesn't show up on scans). Instead it forms thin sheet or web-like structures which can cause blockage of the mammary ducts/vessels and the build up of fluid in the breast. Your daughter really needs to be brave and have this checked out as IBC is a fast mover with few or no symptoms. Other signs can include a rash or bite-like mark on the breast or swelling of the breast. Hope everything turns out alright. Don't mean to scare you. Cheyne xx

p.s. IBC can cause 'density' in the breast tissue by the build up of these sheet/nest-like cancer structures which do not form lumps but rather a 'denseness'.

Thanks for the info Cheyne, I am also hoping to here from anyone else on this board about this so that when I talk to her I will be a little more educated about whether this breast fluid can signal of BC and if anyone else here had this at diagnosis.

I had fluid on my good breast, it was tested and was B9. She should see a breast specialist and get it checked out I'm sure its nothing but when in dought check it out.
