I think most of the women responding to Bailee had MXs, while it appears to me she's only having a lumpectomy and SNB. The two are quite different, and have very different recovery times! The day after my lumpectomy I was driving and going out to dinner. The following day I went on my regular two-mile walk. I think the trip she's talking about could be doable two-weeks post op if it's true she's only having lumpectomy and SNB.

Oops - I think I answered the wrong question. Deleted.

Two weeks is too short for recovery or for dx-to-surgery? That was my confusion. The answer is probably different for everyone either way.

Both of my sisters in law have also had BC, both with lumpectomies. One had SNB. One didn't.

If you consent to SNB you are is consenting to having other nodes taken if the surgeon decides to take them. The more nodes taken is usually where the pain factor comes in.
