London Ontario! I have a question for my Canadian Friends!

I have started two other posts regarding being worried about IBC.

If my Dr isnt worried about this breast rash - how and where do I get a second opinion?!

I am near London Ontario in a small town called Strathroy.

Thanks so much!

From the description of your condition in the other posts, it sounds as though your only real symptom is the rash.  Keep in mind too that IBC is pretty rare.  So I'd suggest that you check out what's the more obvious explanation - that it's a skin rash.  Have you seem a dermatologist?

I had two small rashes (not on my breast but other than that, they sound like yours) that would go away but kept coming back over and over again.  My family doctor is great but he wasn't sure what it was so he sent me to see a dermatologist.  As soon as the dermatologist saw the rashes, she prescribed two different ointments (because each rash had a different cause).  I dabbed on the ointment and within a day, both rashes were pretty much gone.  One still recurs but I dab on the ointment and that takes care of it.  So I'd suggest that before you start getting 2nd opinions from a breast surgeon, first you get in to see a dermatologist (I'm assuming from your posts that you haven't seen one yet).

I know Strathroy - great little town - and you're quite close to London so if you can't find a dermatologist in Strathroy I'm sure you can find one in London.  If the dermatologist can't get rid of the rash, then it might make sense to see a breast specialist.  But I'd recommend that you deal with the more likely cause first.
