Need some quick input here from anyone who has gone thru this...Dx'd with TNBC, III in one breast and lymph node...I had a bilateral masectomy, with immediate reconstruction, tissue expanders placed.and all but one fill done before i began radiation, started rads in April and finsished beginning of June...PS wants to switch out tissue expanders  in a few days..he thinks I am ready...this is only three months and a week or so after finishing rads..I think it may have something to do with the fact that I almost had an MRI recommended by my onco and before I went into machine, I felt sensation and told them to take me out of room...PS saw me after that and all seemed OK, but at first and last fill after rads last week, he said that the metal plates in expanders had de-magnatized and the one in the radiatied breast has now displaced...he filled my anyway, but no leakage or shrinkage has occured to date which is a very good sign...he said I can wait or go ahead, he does not think it will make a significant difference either way...I see some ladies wait 6 months or more after rads, but i dont know whats going on inside there after that suction in the mri room...i dont know what to do...saw my breast surgeon and radiation once, they think my radiated breast looks ok to have surgury...can anybody comment from experience??? THanks!
