    Had the last Chemo  feb 09 and the last herceptin may 10. now cancer free.   BUT   how do I stop my nails from flaking,  I cant grow them as they flake any tips on how I can strengthen them up.

    Hey ebarnes48,

    Congrats on completing your chemo and herceptin tx! I am not sure if this is an option for you but maybe you could go to your local nail salon and they could put a thin layer of acrylic to the top of your nails to strenthen them up? If you don't want to go that route maybe they can give you some type of oil to rub into your nail beds to help the flaking out. Good luck and hope you are feeling great!

    thanks Dee yes I am feeling great. the only sign that I ever had cancer now is my missing boob

    nailtiques works for me. It's a protein that strengthens your nails.
