Female, 47years old, Non-menopause, I had lumpectomy/ mastectomy about two months.

Pathological diagnosis: Right breast, Early invasive ductal carcinoma, Tumor diameter of 0.5cm, Nipple skin and the basal, Ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes showed 14, no metastasis.

Immunohistochemistry results: PR+,ER+ ˜++,C-erbB2+++(HER2+) Positive.

Is it serious?

Dose the kind of breast cancer need chemotherapy? Does it need to use Herceptin? What drug need to take after?

    Hi, sounds like we have about the same diagnosis. I am ER, PR+ as well as HER-2 +++. Makes my cancer very agressive. I have multifocal cancer, right breast, the largest is 1 1/2cm by 1 1/2cm.

     Im having the genetic testing done tormrrow, (BRCA I believe it is spelled) and if positive I will undergo a mastomecty. ER and PR + means I will be on Tamoxifin for 5 years because the hormones are feeding my cancer, and will be on Herceptin for 1 year. I will also undergo chemo and radiation. I am told my diagnosis is among the best, because with meds, there are more treatment options for me than if I were tripple neg.

    Good luck to you, Keeping everyone on this board in my prayers. and will be more active when I know for sure what my outcome will be.

    Kristy
