My mom finsihed DD AC-T 3 weeks ago and just tuesday started having dizzy spells when she lies down or looks up. Has any one had simular experiences with vertigo after chemo? I dont want to be such a nervous nelly but i'm the type to always think more is going on....... thank you so much!----Jen

I didn't have AC-T but instead took Taxotere and Cytoxin.......after my first chemo treatment I passed out and landed on the floor face down.  Fortunately I landed on carpet but still had a black eye and busted lip.  Call the doctor with those experiences.  I was told that is NOT normal.

    Good luck!  Namaste'.

Call your doctor right away, your mom maybe anemic. Go untreated could be dangerous.  Doc will do blood test first.  Good luck.

I finished 4 cycles of chemo on 3/24/11. On 4/17 I woke up to severe vertigo which caused vomiting. Didn't think a lot about it. then on 5/6 it happened again, but this time wave after wave. My oncologist sent me for an MRI, but I was too sick to go into the machine. They did a CT and a few days later MRI - both negative. Then sent me for a cardio clearance before surgery. After all that my family doctor said I have benign paroxymal positional vertigo and put me on meds for that.  But I was curious if it is a delayed side effect of chemo and found this link. Is there any proven link and where can I find more information?
