maiagrant ~ Even though they don't normally do the Onco-type DX in Italy, is there anyway you could arrange to get one done?   It just seems like that would give you such valuable information to make an informed decision.  It would be a shame to bypass chemo if your Oncotype score were to come back high, even though your stats seem favorable.  On the other hand, it would be equally as bad to do chemo if there's no benefit based on the biology of your tumor.

If your Oncotype-DX score was to come back even borderline midrange, you might decide by asking yourself... If you didn't do chemo and the breast cancer came back, would you kick yourself for not doing it?  But you can't even fairly ask yourself that question when you don't know if there's a possiblity it's risks could outweigh any potential benefit.

Of the 3 oncologists you've seen, couldn't one of them arrange to have the Oncotype-DX test done for you, especially since your tumor was very close to 1 cm?     Deanna
