25 years ago, I found a lump..I was 36, had a mastectomy and chemo. I was told I have very dense breast tissue..Since that time every year they say the same thing and my mamos are so hard to read but they kept saying..no change so stupid me I thought they knew.Well because no one thought it important enough, noone ever did a sonagram despite the fact they all knew my STRONG family history..no one ever told me to have the Genetic test either..if they would have I wouldnt be here today with this aggresive very scarey cancer in my other breast...They have failed me ...twice. I should have had sonagrams because of the dense tissues and not one of my idiot Drs. over the past 25 years(knowing my history) should have suggested the genetic test( I had never heard of it)..I would have immediately had the other breast removed years ago, now im having a hysterectomy also..I am Brac 2 This is a totally different and much more dangerous cancer than I had 25 years ago. Please watch out for yourselves!!!!!!!.....If I was smarter I could have saved myself..I am 60 years old..Elena

Sorry to hear you are going through this again Elena.  Thank you so much for the warning.  I also have very dense breasts and I insist on having regular MRI's even though my dr.'s don't really think it's necessary.

I wish you the best with your current treatment.  Fight it with all you've got!!  We will be here to support you.

So sorry you are going through this and I wish you all the best. FIGHT!

I choose a BMX, because verdict is out on so many things and I just felt I needed to deal with this aggressively as poosible.

I wish you great success and an uneventful journey.  I am so sorry that you have to be revisited with this nightmare once again.  Your post is a true example of why we must not rely on others, not even doctors, to guide us, but to educate ourselves so that we may always be our own best advocate.
