YES, I had the same pain...I would try taking a warm bath and look at my legs in disbelief...they felt like they were BREAKING but they looked normal. The first time it happened it woke me up in the middle of the night and it hurt so much, I was scared.
However, this pain wasn't as extreme for the next 3 Taxol treatments, and got easier with each one. I think my body got used to it, and I got better at predicting when the pain would set in and took pain killers in advance. It was frustrating though, because I'd heard Taxol was supposed to be easier than AC. I thought they were equally bad, in different ways.
I am also on Herceptin (weekly). During off-weeks of Taxol I felt great. And that Taxol pain has never come back.
Best wishes and hugs to you.

My taxol pain started after the first treatment and didn't end for 3 months after my last treatment.
I felt as though someone had taken a hammer to my body from my waist all the way down to my toes.
I lived on Lortabs and morphine pills because once you get lax in taking the pain medication, you have to take so much to get back on top of the pain which could take another 12 hours. I pretty much stayed in bed for 3-4 days after each taxol treatment. Lying in bed was bad enough but there was no way I could even think about moving around. I would have to say my pain level was 9+
Also know that I have a very low tolerance for pain so others tolerate it alot better than I do. Thankfully my oncologist was understanding and prescribed morphine pills to be taken in the morning and at night (time release) and then during the day I took lortabs as needed. Prior to the morphine pills I was taking 2 pills every 4 hours for 4 days straight but they don't like you taking so many of them which is why they added morphine into the mix.
Funny story but eventually about 3 months after treatment the taxol pain went away. However 30 days later it started back up. First thing on my mind was "OMG I must have bone mets now"
I am always stressed about when and how the cancer is going to appear again so any ache or pain puts me into a total anxiety attack.
