Alaska ladies facing breast cancer

I wasn't sure how to start a new topic until I found this place so I started this under the Illinios women facing BC.  But let me do it here again and maybe start a thread.

I am from Alaska, Ketchikan.  I had to go to Seattle, Washington to get treatment.  While there I met many people from Alaska facing cancer.   I wonder if there are any ladies from Alaska on this forum.  I would love to hear from you.  What have you experienced?  Where did you get your treatment?  Please come and share with us.  I need Alaskan friends during this time.

 It doesn't look like there are very many of us here from Alaska does it? My diagnosis and treatment were completed in Oregon, so I can't share any Alaska experiences with you. I completed Rads in June and moved back to Alaska (I grew up here) to be near my family who has been incredibly supportive. One thing I can say is how disappointed I am in the lack of support groups available to us in the rural areas. I am down on the Kenai peninsula and there is nothing, nada, zilch. I have no means to connect with any other women in this area that can understand and relate to this journey. How has the experience been for you?
