IBC symptoms - but also others- going back aways. . .

Hi there,

I'm 31 and I have the symptoms of IBC in my left breast and have been to an out-of-hours clinic tonight. The Doctor said that as well as IBC symptoms I also have lumps under my arm and in my left breast. I will go to my GP on Monday and ask him to give me a biopsy.

However, I have been having odd symptoms for years now - for example: when I was a young teenager I had the symptoms of Pagets disease (often followed by breast cancer apparently) - flaky, itchy nipples. It cleared up eventually though I was too shy to go to the Dr. Then two years ago I had an extremely raised ERS level - it was 85! and the Doctor thought I had cancer - he said the level was indicative of high levels of inflammation in the body - so he did more bloods and then said I didn't have cancer. Then a year ago I started having pain in my lower back and pelvis, also when I go for a wee the stream is 'interrupted', In the last few months I have bad constipation and cramps in my side, especially after I eat. The pain in my pelvis really is bad and getting me down. The hospital have been investigating to see if I have endometriosis. Also I have had mysterious shooting pains in my thumb for months.

Now all this sounds very random I know, but what I'm wondering is. . could I have had cancer for years without knowing it? - and then it spread to the breast and become IBC? Or could I have IBC which has metastasised to other areas, thus causing my other symptoms?

I know there's no way you can tell me the answer to this question, only a doctor could, but could anyone tell me if they have heard of anything like this, or if, in their knowledge these things are possible?

Thanks,

 Cheyne xx
