Symptoms of IBC showed up this morning . . .

Hi there,

I'm a 31 year old woman with a 13 year old son and a lovely husband of 10 years.

I woke up this morning with:

a raised, red rash of about 1.5 x 2 inches right next to my areola on my left breast

the area is painful deep into the breast and feels bruised to the touch and sore on the surface

underneath the rash the flesh is solid and hard

the rash dimples when I pinch it and has a raised ridge where it meets the areola 

my armpit aches

I took my breast to the out-of-hours clinic (it was Friday night) and the Doctor examined me and said I have lumps in my left breast and under my left arm. He told me to see my Doctor on Monday morning.

In the last few months I have also had - mysterious shooting pains in my thumb, night sweats, a lot of pelvic pain, lower back ache and symptoms of a water infection without actually having a water infection - so they were investigating me for endometriosis - but now I wonder whether it could be related to cancer. . .?

Any advice would be wonderful xx

Did you also just write under Cheyne....No Dr. till Monday? If so I just posted a long note on there. Leisa

Hi Leisa,

Thankyou so much for your long note under my real name and original post: 'Cheyne'. I registered a second time under a different name because my 5 post limit was used up and I was still panicking and wanting more advice. Your note has helped me so much. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart. All the lovely people who have supported me tonight have made what was a lonely, gruesome, scary, sad night feel warmer and less frightening. Having someone to communicate with is so comforting. Hubby fell asleep hours ago and the house was so bleak. I can't thank the others because my post limit is used up. But I'll use 'Cheyne' from now on and will come back on Monday and let you guys know how it goes at the Doc. In the meantime thanks for letting me know I can private message people if I need support.
